The hard work of glass blowing in Murano

It´s always a worth advice to escape the hustle and bustle of Venice city center on a 2-hour tour of Murano.

You can reach the boat station facing the lagoon, and jump aboard a public boat (vaporetto) bound for Murano Island.

Upon arrival, just take a short walk to a glass factory, where a glass master will demonstrate the art of glass blowing to create a unique piece.

Murano

Look at his face, burnt and shabby after years of being by the oven.

Look at his handsome hands.

Then go to a mosaic or glass beads jewelry workshop to create your own piece from scratch. Work with glass elements of different shapes and colors to make a unique ornament or pendant. Create your own bracelet, key holder, or earrings. It´s not cheap but you´ll enjoy it.

Enjoy some free time to explore the quiet streets of Murano on your own.

Murano still has the flavor of ancient Italy, less cosmopolitan than Venice, but with more charm.

Murano does not disappoint anyone.
